Sport: Manu Samoa propped up by replacements

12:35 pm on 5 November 2014

The Samoa rugby team have called on the services of Bordeaux prop Albert Patrick Toetu and Leicester's Aniseko Sio has been put on stand-by as the squad suffers a front row shortage.

Manu Samoa have met again in Italy ahead of their test against the Azzurri after being released for club duty without prop Albert Anae.

Anae is awaiting a judiciary hearing after being sent off in his club side Treviso's loss to Glasgow.

Census Johnston who is to replace the injured James Johnston won't join the team until next week.

Samoan management say although the goal is always to win tests there is an extra challenge of building depth ahead of next year's world cup on this tour.
