Voting is underway in the Northern Marianas general elections with a record-breaking 17,986 registered voters going to the polls.
They are electing the governor, the lieutenant governor, the delegate to the US Congress, the attorney general, senators, House of Representatives members, mayors, municipal councillors and Board of Education members.
Voters will also have their say on three members of the CNMI judiciary and three proposed changes to the constitution.
Political observers say a run-off is expected in the four-way race for governor.
The polls close at 7pm.
