3:14 pm on 27 October 2014

There is unease among some New Caledonian leaders over accusations that officials have been blogging under pseudonyms.

The website Caledosphere has become a key platform for online political discussions and the president of the Congress Gael Yanno has publicly accused and named two Noumea officials of being behind controversial posts.

The two have denied being the person behind the blog identity, Rita.

The site's editor, who is based in France, says efforts have intensified to curb Caledosphere.

He has assured contributors that the site is not tracking anybody's computer.

He adds that he is being given information from a wide range of sources and warned that he would make a major revelation this week which will stun his critics.
