Two of French Polynesia's new ministers have been found to be ineligible to hold their office for another six months.
The website Tahiti-infos says a day after Edouard Fritch named his ten-strong team, Heremoana Maamaatuiahutapu and Patrick Howell were found to have been appointed in breach of the law.
They were supposed to have not been in an official state job for six months before being made ministers from outside the assembly.
Mr Maamaatuiahutapu, who has been in charge of the House of Culture, was made the new minister responsible for the environment and languages while Mr Howell was appointed as health minister.
The change of leadership was prompted by the previous president Gaston Flosse losing office because of a court conviction for corruption.
