Fiji police completes brutality probe

Fiji's Police Commissioner has reportedly confirmed that the investigation into a man who died in police custody last month has been completed.

Vilikesa Soko died at Lautoka Hispital on August the 20th from what his father said were injuries sustained when he was beaten by police officers.

Four officers were stood down last week in relation to the investigation.

Fiji Live reports the commissioner, Ben Groenewald, as saying that investigators were now compiling the case docket which will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions on Wednesday.
