Villagers on east Guadalcanal in Solomon Islands are still living in tents four months after flash floods that washed away many houses in the province.
The Solomon Star reports that Red Cross workers who visited Kokoda Village this week found that most villagers are still living in tents and food gardens badly damaged.
The newspaper reports that food and water is a major crisis for people in east Guadalcanal, and villagers are calling for urgent asssistance.
