The Samoan women's rugby team, Manusina, have been emphatically beaten by England in their first game at the Rugby World Cup in Paris, 65 - 3.

At half time the Manusina trailed England 34 - nil, and their efforts weren't helped when Helen Collins was sent to the sin bin 49 minutes into the game, for diving over the top of a ruck.

Samoa was able to get some points on the board off the back of England's Marie Packer being yellow carded, with Brenda Milo converting the penalty kick.

England scored 10 tries all up, and join Canada at the top of Pool A.

Samoa are to face Canada next.
