Samoa Tuna Processors is producing its first shipment of super frozen tuna for export.
The company's Logistics Manager, Craig Double, says there are plans to produce four tons a day of the product which is a new line for the company.
Ten employees have been training to staff the production line at the firm's state of the art factory which can accommodate up to four lines.
The super frozen tuna will be exported to Japan and the United States and the company sees demand for frozen fish from other parts of Asia, Europe and South America.
