The Government of Samoa has completed the sale of a fifty percent stake in the Pacific Forum Line to Neptune Pacific.

The deal is expected to improve shipping to Samoa, with 48 ship visits annually, up from the current 36.

The Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, says the joint venture with Neptune is important to the future of Samoa.

The Pacific Forum line served 15 Pacific countries and the Samoa Government says under the new arrangement further regional trading opportunities and global networks will be established.
