A 5,000 US dollar reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons behind the killing of a Chinese couple found dead inside a burnt out house in Saipan in the Northern Marianas last month.

A relative of one of the victims, Qing Xiu Zheng says they are offering the cash reward because they want to know who killed Zheng and her husband, Guo Huang Xu.

The family member says they are still waiting for the police to allow them to see the victims' bodies at the Commonwealth Health Center's morgue.

Police are treating the deaths as a double homicide.

The couple reportedly died due to smoke inhalation as a result of a fire that completely destroyed their house.
