The Tahiti Football Federation is investigating the pros and cons of turning their national league professional.
A new group, led by Toa Aito coach Eddy Etaeta, has been formed to look into the ways and means of taking Ligue 1 from amateur to professional.
Tahiti has set goals of winning the Oceania Champions League and successfully defending their OFC Nations Cup title in 2016.
The working group has already identified 15 different areas which require an overhaul in order to bring the league closer to professional status.
