Forecasters say tropical cyclone Ian is again threatening Tonga.
The Fiji Meteorological service has issued a new tropical cyclone alert, with strong wind warnings for the Vava'u and Niuas island groups in Tonga.
Forecasters say the cyclone is slow moving and may bring damaging gale force winds over the Vava'u island group in the next 24 to 48 hours.
On Monday, a tropical cyclone alert was issued for the island groups of Ha'apai and Vava'u, but it was cancelled yesterday.
