Fiji government to ease bureaucracy for businesses

2:59 pm on 30 December 2013

The Fiji government is promising improved services for businesses by reducing the bureaucratic red tape they face.

It says from next year the annual business licences will be replaced by three yearly ones, removing what it says is a time consuming annual encounter with municipal bureaucracies.

The government says it is also considering the fairness of the licensing regime and whether there should be different fees paid depending on the size of the business.
