The police in the Cook Islands say people have come forward with significant information this week regarding a number of recent arson attacks.
The fire service in the Cook Islands ruled that a blaze at the Turoa Bakery and adjoining Saltwater Cafe, and a fire which destroyed a residential property in Titikaveka in November were both deliberately lit.
Investigators also concluded that two separate school fires in October were the result of arson.
The Cook Islands News reports that two members of the public have come forward with information, that police describe as very important.
The paper reports that there are three main suspects, but little information has been offered up by the public until now, despite two $10,000 rewards sitting on the table.
