The Fiji Womens Sevens team beat France 14-10 in the bowl final at the Women's Sevens World Series in Dubai.
Fijiana earlier beat Tunisia 38-5 in order to reach the final.
Fiji's win places them ninth in the world women's sevens rankings.
Meanwhile, overnight, the Dubai leg of the IRB sevens kicked off.
Fiji came on top of their three games beating England, Canada and the USA.
Defending champions Samoa dipped out of finals contention after losing to both South Africa and Argentina. However they did beat Russia earlier in the day.
The New Zealand men's side cruised through pool play with big wins over Kenya, Portugal and France.
They will face Argentina in the Cup quarter-finals.
