The chairman of the American Samoa Chamber of Commerce, David Robinson, says he's disappointed in the lack of interest shown by local businesses to participate in next week's Trade Fair in Samoa.
The fair is an effort to find trading opportunities between businesses in American Samoa and Samoa, and to promote local small businesses to Samoa.
Mr Robinson says there's been little interest from local companies but he's still hopeful for more local participation so American Samoa can share what the territory has to offer.
The only participants so far from the territory are the Chamber of Commerce, the American Samoa Visitors Bureau, the government owned Shipyard Services Authority, Tool Shop Incorporated, StarKist Samoa, and ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank.
The local Chamber is partnering with the Small Business Enterprise Center and the Samoa Chamber of Commerce for the fair, held on the 28th and 29th of November in Apia.
