The owner of a Fiji floating tourist attraction the government closed down just over a week ago says he is looking to move his business.
Cloud 9, a bar and restaurant which sit on a twin-hulled pontoon, opened in the middle of the year near a world-renowned surfing area known as Cloudbreak in western Viti Levu.
In a statement, the government says the Regulation of Surfing Areas Decree 2010 does not allow for the activities that have been conducted on Cloud 9.
It also says the government cannot allow any activity that may lead to damage or destruction in surfing areas and Cloud 9 presents a clear threat to that provision in the decree.
But Cloud 9's owner Tony Philp says he cannot understand why he has had to close the business.
He says he has all the necessary permits to operate as well as approval from the Fiji government's marketing arm, Investment Fiji.
