Reports from Solomon Islands say the government is working towards setting up a committee to implement the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation report before its tabling in Parliament.
Solomon Islands Broadcasting says the Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo told parliament the government is delaying tabling the report because it does not have enough resources to follow up with its recommendations.
He says a committee should already be established to oversee the recommendations before the tabling and his office is currently working on arrangements including how committee members will be selected.
In April, the editor of the report a former bishop of the Church of Melanesia, Terry Brown, released a digital copy of the report, saying there was no reason for Mr Lilo not to hand it to parliament for discussion.
