Australia has moved 22 Bangladeshi men from Christmas Island to its asylum seeker detention camp on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea.
This takes the numbers on Manus asking for refugee status to 228.
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship confirms there are also 521 asylum seekers detained in Nauru.
