The Solomon Islands Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional strengthening has announced September 26 as Election day for Western and Choiseul Provinces.
It's also the scheduled date for by-elections in two wards in other provinces, one in Temotu Province and one in Rennell and Bellona Province.
Voter registration was carried out in June and July.
