World's largest commercial aircraft touches down in Hawaii

The world's largest commercial aircraft has touched down in Hawaii.

The first ever double-decker aircraft, A380, made a stop in Honolulu on its way to Asia at the weekend.

Hawaiian Airlines says the jetliner manufacturer Airbus, is pitching them to buy the plane.

Hawaiian airlines is planning to purchase more planes from Airbus.

The company's chief executive officer, Mark Dunkerley says the airline and Airbus have partnered on the A30's of which 22 will be in their fleet within the next two and a half years.

He says the plane is fuel efficient which can help lower ticket prices and encourage more people to fly in and out of Hawaii.
