The contempt of court case against the Fiji Citizens Constitution Forum has been adjourned to end of next month by the High court.

This contempt proceeding was filed by the Attorney General, over an article titled "Fiji - The Rule of Law Lost" which was published in the April 2012 edition of Tutaka, the quarterly letter of the CCF.

Fiji Willage reports CCF's counsel Jon Apted asked Judge Justice William Calanchini for more time to take instructions and file further affidavits.

Acting Solicitor General Sharvada Sharma opposed the application to file further affidavits saying that Mr Apted had 42 days to do this.

The judge also raised concern that the case is being dragged on unnecessarily however he adjourned the matter to 30th November for hearing to give both parties time to file necessary submissions.
