Niue has convinced Air New Zealand to operate additional flights to the island from next April.
Air New Zealand currently operates a weekly Niue flight from Auckland and return.
From April there will be an extra flight every fortnight, on a Wednesday, running through until October.
Niue's Premier, Toke Talagi, says it is a land-mark in Niue's development, and a major step forward in the island's drive to become economically self-sustaining.
