Australia's transfer of asylum seekers abroad has continued, with Canberra flying a seventh group to Nauru on Tuesday.

Using a chartered plane of Nauru's national carrier, Australia sent 17 Afghans and 13 Sri Lankans to its re-opened Nauru processing centre.

The Nauru government says the transfer from the aircraft to the Topside camp took place without incident.

So far, Australia has flown 211 asylum seekers to Nauru since it revived its off-shore processing policy last month.
