The current Bougainville Regional MP, Fidelis Semoso, has been found guilty on allegations of misconduct levelled against him in a Papua New Guinea leadership tribunal.
The Post Courier reports that the number of charges against Mr Semoso will be made known on Thursday, along with penalties for the offences.
The charges include the misappropriation of millions of dollars in public funds, false pretences, assault and failure to declare his interest.
Mr Semoso is currently in 5th place in the Bouganville Provincial seat election results with counting continuing.
