The exodus of nurses at the Commonwealth Health Center in the Northern Marianas continues, with eight more resigning in the past seven days.
The resignations are due mainly to the uncertainty over what will happen to the nurses' retirement contributions.
A total of 36 nurses have resigned since January - more than a fifth of the number employed at the only public hospital in the territory eight months ago.
Most of the nurses working at the CHC are non-residents recruited from the Philippines.
