A United States Coast Guard Hercules from Honolulu is joining another from the US Marines in Guam to search for two men missing for three days off Chuuk in the Federated States of Micronesia.
The duo, in a seven metre skiff, had been travelling from Nomwin Atoll to Weno on Chuuk on Sunday.
They were expected to complete their trip that evening but there has been no sight of them.
According to reports the two men do not have any safety equipment or communication devices on their boat.
