Inmates brewing beer in American Samoa

Inmates at the Territorial Correctional Facility in American Samoa are not only using illegal drugs in jail, they're also brewing their own beer.

The new revelation was made during testimony by the High Court's chief probation officer Tauiliili Silivelio Iosefo during a probation hearing for two inmates who are serving time at TCF.

Tauiliili said that the majority of inmates tested postive for marijuana or methamphetamine use in recent drug testings.

He also said that an inmate had been placed in a maximum security cell for 20 days because he and his cellmates were found drinking homemade brew.
