Provisional figures for 2011 show Fiji had almost 675,000 visitors, which is a new record.
According to Ministry of Tourism figures published by the Fiji Sun this marks a 6.8 percent increase over 2010.
Australia, New Zealand and the US were the top markets.
While there were fewer tourists from South Korea and Japan, Fiji saw substantially more visitors from India and China.
