58 new cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in the Marshall Islands over the past week, bringing the total number since the outbreak started in October to 449.
The health secretary, Justina Langidrik, says there have been no deaths, and the spread of the mosquito-borne illness beyond Majuro has so far been limited.
She says a total of six cases have been confirmed on Arno Atoll near Majuro, but no new cases have been seen on other islands.

Big clean-up efforts are happening around Majuro to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds.
Rubbish is being removed and mosquito-spraying teams on Ebeye and Majuro have now sprayed hundreds of houses.
