Cook Islanders given input into government budget

4:18 pm on 19 October 2011

Feedback is being sought from Cook Islanders on the country's draft budget.

A consultation document on next year's budget has been publicly released and the government is urging all Cook Islanders to read it and submit their feedback by October the 31st.

The finance minister, Mark Brown, says it's the first time the public's views have been sought in this way and he's inviting everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to tell government how the money should be spent.
