The President of Kiribati, Anote Tong is optimistic he will return to power when the country goes to the polls next month.
The country is due to vote on the 21st of October.
PacNews reports President Tong told a media conference in Suva it is time for politicians to go back to their bosses.
He says every four years the people are the bosses.
Anote Tong says every politician hopes to do well but it is up to the people to make that decision.
He says climate change will be hotly debated in the election, especially after the recent visit by UN Secretary General Bank Ki Moon.
