The Tonga rugby coach says the short turnaround prompted the wholesale changes to the side to face Canada in a pool A world cup game tomorrow in Whangarei.
Isitolo Maka has retained just four players from the side which started against the All Blacks last Friday in Auckland.
"We knew we were going to make some changes for Canada because of the short week.Four days recovery is the big reason to make some changes. All those guys who were on the bench last week are starting Wednesday.I have faith in my squad so all those seven guys on the bench last week deserve a start because all those guys played well against the All Blacks in the second half."
The four players retained have new roles.
Captain Finau Maka will play blindside flanker whileTaniela Moa will play first five with Kurt Morath moving to fullback.
Siale Piutau will run at centre
