A district court hearing in Samoa has been set for November the 24th for 13 charges of bribery against the former leader of the Tautua Samoa party, Va'ai Papu Vailupe.
The former MP of Vaisigano number one constituency has entered a not guilty plea to all the criminal charges.
He is being accused of giving money and alcohol before the last general election with the intention to bribe several voters.
A sister of the former politician married to a high ranking chief of a village in the constituency is also facing bribery charges.
Va'ai is free on bail.
The same goes to a former ruling party MP, Moefaauo Lufilufi, who has been granted leave to travel abroad.
