A 34 year old mother in Samoa has admitted to infanticide after she abandoned her new born baby boy who was found dead near the Faleata sports complex on the outskirts of Apia.
The woman gave herself up following a public appeal by the police for information about the mother.
The woman has appeared today in the District Court and entered a guilty plea.
She has been released on bail for sentencing in August.
