Veteran Niue politician predicts little change in assembly following election

A political veteran in Niue is predicting little change in the island's 20 person assembly when the island goes to the polls on May the 7th.

Niue's new High Commissioner to New Zealand O'love Jacobsen was a Cabinet Minister until last month, when she replaced Sisilia Talagi in Wellington.

She says she's not expecting too many changes among the 14 constituency or village seats and the 6 common roll seats.

"The only movements that you will always anticipate to see is on the common role seats, the six seats that I told you. Whereas village seats they are usually stable seats."

O'love Jacobsen.

Parliament is due to be dissolved at the end of this week.
