Samoa to bring its students home from Japan

8:22 pm on 17 March 2011

Samoa's decided to bring home thirteen scholarship students who've been studying in Japan.

Caretaker prime minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, says it's necessary given the continuing high uncertainty over the radiation risk.

Discussions are underway between Samoa's Foreign Affairs ministry and Japan's International Cooperation Agency on how to arrange the repatriation of the students and the spouses of two of them.
