Police in Guam have extended a tsunami warning until 11 pm Guam time.
The first wave was expected nearly two hours ago and police spokesman A.J. Balajadia says all that has been obsderved is some impact on buoys.
"We have sent out advisories for people in low lying areas to move up to higher ground. We have closed all beaches, all roads that are leading to low lying areas have been closed. We have asked the hotels to move all occupants to the level of the fifth or sixth floors or above, so right now we are still on that warning."
