Fiji's Reserve Bank governor Sada Reddy has resigned..
Chairman of the Reserve Bank Board Governance Sub Committee, Deo Saran, announced he had received notice of Reddy's resignation with immediate effect.
Fiji Live reports Mr Reddy, a career central banker, has served with the Bank for 35 years, the last 20 months as Governor and prior to that he was Deputy Governor for 15 years.
The Deputy Governor, Barry Whiteside, will act as Governor until further notice.
