The Nauru government is urging people with stomach, diabetes and heart related problems to make appointments at the island's hospital where a medical mission from Taiwan is providing services this month.
The health minister, Mathew Batsiua, has expressed his government's gratitude for the assistance made through Taiwan's foreign aid agency.
The medical team includes an endocrinologist, a gastroenterologist, a cardiologist and a podiatrist.
It is the ninth occasion since 2006 that Taiwan has sent medical specialists to Nauru.
Taiwan's International Cooperation Development Fund is also helping run a poultry farm and vegetable gardens on the island.
