Samoa Land Transport says taxis face new enforcements next month

Samoa Land Transport says laws against smoke emissions and tinted windows for taxis are to be enforced next month.

The Assistant CEO of Land Transport, Tusa Misi Tupuola, told TV One, that taxi owners have been given a year and a half to comply with the law against tinted windows.

Tusa says the reason for the law is prevent offenses such as people being physically or sexually assaulted inside a taxi.

Because he says these are the things that are happening in taxis.
