A privately own television station in American Samoa is planning to go digital with tests conducted this week.

The owner of PCS-TV, Bill Hyman, says some minor adjustments still need to be made, but the goal is to cut over permanently to digital by the end of August.

The main channel will mostly carry the Australian Network, with Television New Zealand News and live sports.
