The Fiji met service has issued another tropical cyclone warning for the Northern Cook Islands.
Tropical cyclone Rene, the fourth cyclone to form in the Northern Cook Islands, is about 80 kilometres to the south of Nassau.
The Fiji met service's tropical cyclone forecaster, Alipate Waqaicelua, says the cyclone, which was named overnight, has slowed down.
"Its because it's anticipated to make a southward turn away from these islands and adopt a more southwest track which will take it into the open seas between Samoa and Niue and head for Tonga."
Alipate Waqaicelua says for four cyclones to impact a particular area, such as the Northern Cook Islands, is quite extraordinary.
