A Samoan family is now developing what will be called the Survivor Samoa Surf and Beach Resort.
The move comes after the filming of the Survivor Samoa television series by an American film crew.
Project designers and architects recently visited the site at Falelatai village and surveyors are now plotting out the perimeters of the property.
Avamua Dave Haleck says they hope to begin construction by the middle of next year.
The resort will target mid end travelers and 30 individual bungalows will initially be built, due for completion mid 2011.
