The village council of Salelologa on Savaii Island in Samoa has unanimously supported the campaigns to stop the Government's switch to driving on the left side of the road in two weeks time.

A matai of Salelologa village, Tautua Ioane, says the matais and villagers have agreed to oppose the road switch when it starts on September 7th by blocking all sections of the roads around the township as well as in the village.

He says the people are scared and frustrated by the government's decision.
