Another shooting incident has been reported at the gold and copper mine PT Freeport in the Indonesia province of Papua.

The shots were fired on Saturday morning, but this time no one was hurt.

The shooting occurred on the road linking the town of Timika and Freeport's Grasberg mining site.

The Jakarta Post newspaper says those firing targeted a car carrying medical supplies.

In the same area, a 29-year-old Australian, an Indonesian security guard working for Freeport and a policeman died in ambushes earlier this month.
