The opening game at the netball tournament at Apia Stadium between hosts Samoa and Papua New Guinea went into overtime.
The scores were locked at 50 all at the end of normal time with Samoa pulling away to a 65-55 win
The tournament is a opportunity for teams including the Cook Isands and Vanuatu to improve their world rankings and qualifer for next years Commonwealth Games in India.
