Samoa's national carrier, Polynesian Airlines, has just finished marking its 50th Anniversary last week.
Its chief executive officer, Taua Fatu Tielu, says Polynesian Airlines has come a long way since it started operating as a Company 50 years ago.
Taua says the Airline has gone through several restructuring processes in its 50-year history in an effort to remain viable so its operations can be self-sustaining and at the same time achieve a healthy return on Government's investment.
He says it has not always been easy given the fickle nature of the airline business and significant world events that impact adversely on Polynesian.
But he says the airline is always looking for innovative ways to try and achieve its corporate objectives.
