The Niue government has reinstated the Tourist Authority which was formed by legislation in 1992 and went into recess about five years ago.
The new chair is Hima Douglas general manager of the Matavai Resort.
Members of the authority represent major sectors in the island's visitor industry.
Investors have been pressing the government to reinstate the authority saying they wanted representation in the growing industry.
