The tiny island of Niue will make its first appearance at the Wellington leg of the International Rugby Board this weekend after a three year absence.
Coach Roderick Tagalagi says the side is excited because they don't get many opportunities to attend international tournaments.
He says taking part this weekend is important.
"It means a lot to us because its exposure actually for our small country we've put a lot of emphasis on our players because there's a few New Zealand based players with a bit of emphasis on our players knowing who they are where they come from so when they go out and represent their country it becomes a bit more meaningful for them."
